Here’s my story from the Globe and Mail today that summarizes the election to date. Some uncomfortable news there for some folks, I realize, but the important thing is: This is only the opening chapter. The always new and surprising thing about election campaigns is the way they evolve in such a short time. It’s like throwing a piece of photo paper in a chemical bath and watching the images come clear in such a short time, with details you didn’t even know were there when you took the photograph.

photo paper…..chemical baths……in hermetically-sealed, darkened, red-lit rooms….
