Oh bruther, just when you think things are calming down. This news release from the Vancouver police.
“Run on the Developers” March
Vancouver – Vancouver Police will be keeping a close eye on the Occupy Vancouver “Run On The Developers” march this Saturday. The march is scheduled to leave the Vancouver Art Gallery at noon and head around the downtown core in protest of financial institutions.
The possibility exists that protesters may try to occupy one or more banks however, the exact route the marchers will take is unknown.
In advance of the march, the VPD is liaising with banks in the immediate area of the Vancouver Art Gallery to review safety and security protocols with staff in the event of a disruption in business.

I can’t make head or tail out of this VDP press release. It’s not that it’s vague – it certainly is – it just doesn’t make sense.
Developers or Banks? Open for business on Saturday? Huh? The cops are straining a little too hard to look useful on this one.

A Run on Developers? Well if that doesn’t get Vision to get off their butts and act, nothing will. Maybe they should start off running the viaducts and finish at Concord Pacific’s office, right Councillor Meggs?

Let’s all please hope these banks hire some private security – god knows the VPD won’t protect private property . . can you say “London Drugs”.
Then let’s also hope this private security uses the necessary force to resist the Occupy Kiddies and starts the education process these Occupy Idiots didn’t get in school.

Neighbourhoods for a Sustainable mayoral candidate (myself) and Councillor candidate Elizabeth Murphy are set to speak to Occupy Vancouver at 2 pm on Sat, Nov 12. We will be calling for respectful behaviour and urging people to keep their eyes on core issues and objectives. One being reducing the excessive influence of political donations in our political systems, the most immediate one being civic government. We believe that ALL the issues of civic government (including homelessness, housing affordability, transportation and civic finances) will be handled more fairly, in the public interest, if elected officials were not beholden to donors of the most expensive civic elections in Canada. This is the truth, and if people think about it honestly they will likely agree. Nov 19 is the most important election of this generation. Twitter helten4mayor
